MENIC: Middle East Network Information Center

A useful list, with brief annotations, of online resources for teachers, including general sites useful to teachers of any subject.

This extensive listing of online resources is broken into three useful categories:  general links (sites with lesson plans on a variety of subjects, includes sites like PBS Teacher Source and BBC: Learning); Middle East-related topics (these sites are grouped together by country); and resources by topic (including archaelogy, carpets, Christianity, Islam and Judaism).

The list is exhaustive, but the short annotations provided with each web link help to ease the process and point teachers in the right direction as quickly as possible.  There are a lot of interesting mulitmedia sites referenced here that provide activities that students and teachers will enjoy.
