• NCTA-TEA 2011 Summer Institute, "21st-Century China: Global Issues, Classroom Applications"
  The Program for Teaching East Asia at the University of Colorado is pleased to announce its 2011 summer institute for educators, entitled “21st-Century China: Global Issues, Classroom Applications.” The program will take place on the University of Colorado Boulder campus, July 17-22, 2011. The program is open to secondary teachers nationwide. Applications are accepted on a rolling admission basis from January through March 4, 2011. The open application will close when the institute is filled, or on March 4, 2011.

• Southeast Asia: At the Crossroads of World War II (NEH Summer Institute)
  Southeast Asia: At the Crossroads of World War II (June 26-July 15, 2011) is an NEH Summer Institute open to middle and high school teachers of humanities and school librarians. It examines the historical contexts and strategic aspects of World War II in Southeast Asia. Participants will receive $2,700 in stipends to help with travel, material, and living expenses. Affordable campus housing ($21/nt to $50/nt) and Waikiki hotel rooms ($109/nt) will be available on first-come, first-served basis. Application deadline: March 1, 2011.
